Born and raised digitally
I was born in 1970, grew up in the Mostviertel and graduated from highschool at the Theresianum in Vienna in 1989. Since my school days I was a computer freak, wrote my first BASIC programs on the Commodore C64 and Texas Instruments TI-99A, was an early enthusiastic Compuserve user and came across the Internet during my studies at University of Economics in Vienna (WU-Wien) in the mid-90s - at that time the WWW did not yet exist, the available services were all non-hypertext like Telnet, WAIS, Gopher and E-mail.
In 1993 I co-founded the first Internet agency in Austria (at that time we called ourselves “Multimedia Agency”), we designed graphic user interfaces for POS systems, created multimedia CD-ROMs and programmed the first websites. At the same time, I completed my studies in business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration (WU-Wien), where my focus was on the subjects of “Information Management” and “Computer Science”.
After joining the internet pioneer Pixelpark at the end of the nineties and Wunderman/WPP in the 00s, I sold my agency “PXP/X GmbH” to Accenture in 2019.
Until July 2025, I served as Managing Director at Accenture GmbH in Austria, responsible for the marketing and agency business of Accenture Song, leading a team of over 150 colleagues. In addition to my Austrian role, I was also responsible for the Data & AI team in the DACH region and acted as Deal Shepherd for one of the largest acquisitions in the Song network.
